HS Tech Group was honored to partner with Dolben Properties on Opal Largo Station, a premier luxury apartment community in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Designed by Mark Recene and HS Technology Group to provide an elevated living experience, The Opal combines modern architecture, upscale amenities, and thoughtfully integrated technology to create a welcoming environment for residents and guests.
From the earliest stages of the project, the vision extended beyond simply installing security systems. The goal was to create a property where resident safety, convenience, and operational efficiency work seamlessly together while preserving the sophisticated design standards expected of a luxury multifamily community. Every technology solution was carefully selected and integrated to support the resident experience without feeling intrusive or detracting from the building’s aesthetic appeal.
A cornerstone of the project was the implementation of a comprehensive access control system designed to enhance security throughout the property. By providing secure and controlled access to key areas, the system helps protect residents, staff, and visitors while giving property management greater visibility and control over daily operations. Reliability, ease of use, and long-term performance were central considerations throughout the design process.
To further enhance the resident experience, HS Tech Group integrated the ButterflyMX cloud-based visitor management platform. This smart building solution allows residents to grant access to guests and service providers directly from their smartphones, creating a convenient and modern approach to property access while reducing management overhead.
In addition to access control and visitor management, HS Tech Group deployed a strategically designed video surveillance system to support resident safety and provide property staff with enhanced visibility throughout the community. The system was carefully integrated into the property’s architecture to maintain the building’s upscale appearance while delivering the security and accountability expected in a luxury residential environment.
HS Tech Group also designed and installed a professional distributed audio and video system throughout the community’s common areas and amenity spaces. Carefully selected background music helps create a warm and inviting atmosphere, while commercial-grade digital displays provide residents with community announcements, property information, and engagement opportunities.
