College Bound Foundation

When the College Bound Foundation (CBF) began planning their new 14,000-square-foot headquarters in Remington, Baltimore, they knew one thing for certain: their audio-visual systems had to perform flawlessly. As a non-profit, every dollar was accounted for, and any missing equipment or oversight could have made it very difficult to secure additional funding. CBF was referred to Mark Recene to lead the design and installation of the audio-visual systems, ensuring every need was met from the outset.

HS Tech Group created a solution that was powerful, flexible, and incredibly easy to use. Using Crestron as the backbone, the team outfitted three key rooms for video conferencing, digital presentations, and streaming from multiple sources. One room, however, presented unique challenges. It’s a mixed-use space with movable tables and chairs, plus large support columns that could block views and sound. HST carefully engineered speaker placement and display layouts to ensure every seat in the room enjoyed clear audio and unobstructed sightlines, no matter how the space was configured.

Ease of use was just as important as performance. The systems were designed so anyone; staff, volunteers, and visitors could turn on a TV or projector in seconds, without juggling logins, passwords, or complicated steps.

The result? A state-of-the-art, reliable AV environment that perfectly supports CBF’s mission. From video conferences to large events, the technology works effortlessly, leaving staff free to focus on what matters most. For a $29 million headquarters, there was no room for compromise, and HS Tech Group delivered exactly what they needed.
