HS Tech Group and Alarm.com Aid Local Non-Profit After Burglary
After suffering damage and loss, the non-profit’s Rockville thrift store receives a complimentary security system.
November 29, 2011 – Homesafe Security Systems, a division of the HS Tech Group, and Alarm.com are working together to help the National Alliance on Mental Illness Montgomery County (NAMI MC) as the non-profit recovers from last month’s burglary of their thrift store. Thanks to combined efforts, NAMI MC will have a state of the art security system installed this week to help deter, detect and prevent this in the future.
“I heard the news about the robbery through a contact at the Maryland Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (MDBFAA) and immediately volunteered our services to coordinate the effort to help NAMI out,” said Stuart Forchheimer, President of Homesafe Security Systems and HS Technology Group. “We knew we could make a difference for the non-profit organization and that’s why we are very pleased to have coordinated the services, equipment, and installation of the new security system. We are grateful to Alarm.com and all of the other contributors including Interlogix, Alarmax Distributors, and Alarm Watch.”
The non-profit organization provides education and support for people who have a mental illness, including on-the-job-training, and has served more than 2,600 Montgomery County residents over the past year. The Rockville thrift store is a community icon helping to aid people in need. To-date the non-profit has not been able to afford a security system or cameras leaving the thrift store vulnerable. The new Alarm.com security system, installed by Homesafe Security Systems/HS Technology Group, will provide Alarm.com’s industry leading interactive services, security cameras, and video monitoring capabilities for 24/7 property awareness.
